Team Tourney - Day 1

Central 6, South 1
Central 4, Eden Prairie 3

Congratulations and welcome to Day 2 of the state team tourney! There are 13 other teams that hoped they would still be playing today but only 4 care going. Over 2 months working towards our season goal comes down to one day. Believe it is possible and give it everything you got. A shot at the title does not come around every year - make the most of it. At the same time, take all the excitement that is the State Tourney in and remember it. This is not something you get to experience to many times in life.
But enough life lessons. Let's go to Burnsville tomorrow and play our brains out!

Varsity Tourney

Congratulations to Kelly and Mai who will be playing in the semi-finals for the 2010 St. Paul City Tournament. They played a great final game against their rivals from St. Paul Como to earn the position. Something tells me they are not done yet..
Also returning are Doua/Da who hope to finish in the top 5.

Match 13 - At Como

Varsity, L 3-4
JV, W 6-1

A loss yes, but I saw some more determination and fire than I have seen in a while. This is what we need to win in the post season. Stick together as a team. Be accountable to each other but at the same time be supportive . Great wins Mel/Nit, Kellly/Mai and Law.

The JV result was decided after the first 9 games of the meet.

Match 10 - at Johnson

Varsity 0-7
JV 3-4

The varsity result was closer than the score as 1 & 2 doubles could have gone either way. JV needed a doubles win.

The question now is, "what do we learn from this?" In part, I hope that we start to realize that the first step (most important step?) in winning in believing that you can. This is not a simple decision, but a realization that you prepared as well as possible. Give this some thought.
Also remember that 'hustle' is not a skill, it is a choice.

Highland on Thursday.
